THE FOUCART AWARD
HISTORIC MARKERS PROJECT
The Logan County Historical
Society has made a commitment
to restore 22 historical markers
which are placed throughout
Guthrie's Historic District
in places of interest to the
thousands of visitors who
come to Guthrie each year.
The markers detail the history
of each building or location
and provide valuable
information for historians.
The project is ongoing and
will continue until all the
markers are restored.

This prestigious award is named for
Joseph Foucart, a world renowned architect
whose influence on the cityscape of Guthrie
is still evident today in the Historic District.
The award for excellence in preservation and
restoration was instituted in 2003.
The plaque is designed to be mounted on the
facade of award winning buildings.
